(MIAMI, Aug. 9, 2013) – Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) and the Dade County Firemen's Benevolent Association swapped out their boots for aprons to help raise money for the families of the Prescott 19, who lost their lives in the line of duty this past June. Held at The Carolina Ale House-Doral, firefighters and staff helped serve customers and oversee multiple raffles raising more than $10,000 for the cause.
Often called the "Arizona Hot Shots", the Prescott 19 was an elite group of firefighters who specialized in wildland firefighting.
